CoreHW's antenna switch array is suitable for Bluetooth AoA and AoD direction finding devices

     The CHW1010 of CoreHW is a monolithic phase matched SP16T antenna switch array, and the CHW1020 is a monolithic phase matched SP8T differential antenna switch array. Both are applicable to Bluetooth AoA and AoD DF devices. The low phase mismatch between switch paths can minimize the residual error of beam direction angle calculation, thus improving the prediction positioning accuracy.

     A single CHW1010 switch can support up to 16 single ended 50 Ω antenna arrays, and a single CHW1020 switch can support up to 8 differential 100 Ω antenna arrays. An antenna array with more antennas can be supported by combining multiple devices. The unused and inoperative antenna ports are internally terminated as 50 Ω or 100 Ω. Open circuit or short circuit termination is available upon request.

     In order to achieve high-performance AoD operation, CHW1010 includes a soft antenna switching function (AoDTX mode), which can reduce unwanted spectrum emissions and help meet Bluetooth 5.1 standards and FCC/ETSI regulatory requirements. CHW1010 and CHW1020 can be controlled using a simple 6-pin GPIO interface. The GPIO count configuration can also be reduced. The advantages of CHW1010 and CHW1020, such as low power consumption, fast start time, and only a few external components, make them ideal choices for small low-cost battery powered equipment.
